Separate production lead time from transit time

Total lead time includes specification approval, proofing, samples, production, pre-shipment inspection, export handling, international transit, import clearance and final delivery. The ranges below start after dispatch from China and exclude production, customs inspections and remote-area delivery.

Indicative transit ranges by destination region

East and Southeast Asia: express 2–5 business days / air 4–8 days / sea 9–18 days Europe: express 3–7 business days / air 8–15 days / sea 30–45 days North America: express 3–7 business days / air 8–15 days / sea 25–45 days Oceania: express 3–7 business days / air 7–14 days / sea 20–35 days Middle East and South Asia: express 3–8 business days / air 7–14 days / sea 18–35 days Latin America and Africa: express 4–10 business days / air 8–18 days / sea 30–50 days

Customs documents and the confirmed arrival date

Commercial invoices, packing lists and HS codes are normally required. Certificates of origin, material declarations or test reports may also be needed by destination and use. Importers should confirm local rules for food-contact, cosmetic and wood materials. A confirmed schedule requires the postal code, package count, weight, volume, Incoterm and service level.
